From the Pacific to the Andes. 650 kilometers. Five stages. A challenge that goes far beyond the finish line.
The 2027 Atacama Spirits Gravel Race offers an endurance journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes in northern Chile. The route begins along the Pacific coast and gradually heads toward the Atacama Desert and the Andean highlands, challenging cyclists with remote terrain, changes in elevation, and increasingly demanding conditions.
Over the course of 650 km spread across five stages, the difficulty increases until it reaches the final great challenge: a finish line located 5,000 meters above sea level. Desert, mountains, and wide-open spaces turn each day into an experience where endurance, adaptability, and mental strength are just as important as performance on the bike.
The organization provides logistical support during the trek, GPS tracking, satellite communications, medical assistance, and rescue services. In addition, there are different participation options—Essential, Premium, and Signature—that allow participants to enhance their experience with accommodations, physical therapy, transportation, and tourist activities in San Pedro de Atacama.
A race for those who don’t travel just to compete, but to find out just how far they can go.
A tour of Calama, Taltal, the Atacama Desert, and San Pedro de Atacama, among other stops on the itinerary.
